Throughout the years, ArawjoTours has traveled the vast expanse of the Italian peninsula, running our popular Classic Italy package annually, operating multiple trips to the island of Sicily and celebrating Tuscany on specialized tours in 2007, 2013 (and soon in 2016).  In the spring of 2011, we operated our first ever tour to the the spectacular Northern Italian Lake District, located in beautiful Lombardy at the foothills of the Alps and on the border of Switzerland.  The tour was a great success, was offered again in 2014,  and is now back by popular demand. The Lake District is one of the most picturesque regions in all of Europe, let alone Italy, and is home to such famous bodies of water as lakes Garda, Como and Maggiore.  In the interest of offering something very special to lovers of the outdoors and all things Italian, ArawjoTours has hired Italian specialist Tina Dyer (many of you know her from our Romantic Italy, Switzerland and Sicily tours) to create an Italian Lakes itinerary that is the product of decades of experience and professional knowledge.  A true Italophile, Tina has masterfully combined "must-sees" like those lakes mentioned above with special visits to Verona, Lugano and Orta.  Serving in the capacity of manager/escort throughout the tour, Tina will be in a position to share Lombardy with all of you in a way that is intensely personal and fulfilling.  With an encyclopedic awareness of Italian culture and history, Ms. Dyer will not fail to impress and to deliver on her promise to make your first visit to this incredible region of Italy a truly memorable one.  For a more detailed account of what this package includes, read the itinerary below or scroll to the bottom of this description to view a shortened summation of tour inclusions.
