Portugal Nomads 2009 at the Sademan Port Winery in Porto
"New world megabytes and megapixels cannot begin to describe this 'wonder' of the old world. Weather.com cannot prepare us for the early morning coolness of the mountain air, the overnight bursts of tropical rain, or the afternoon heat of the searing sun at Machu Picchu. Modern day drugs, sun blocks, cell phones, and bottled water were no match for the Andean mountains. We gasped for air. We got sunburn. We felt helpless without constant communication. We got dehydrated. But the moment the morning sun burned-off the misty clouds, we forgot our beating hearts and beleagured lungs. We were in awe of the beauty, tranquilty, and magic of this old 'wonder' nestled, craddled and protected by the Inca gods. Maybe there is some validity to the Inca's belief in nature's invincible power superseding even new world inventions." Nick Pappas (photo is of Janice Pappas)

Last Update: June 23, 2009:

Due to popular demand, a second departure for the Holy Land and Jordan has just been posted.  The second group will depart one day after the first group.  The itinerary will be the same and the second group will then return one day later than the first group.

Cathy has set up a Machu Picchu gallery from a few of the pictures participants have sent to us.  What remarkable scenery!

The Wonders of Egypt and Romantic Italy tours for 2009 are now all sold out and closed.  No further enrollments can be accepted for these tours.  Discovering Croatia tour 2009 (a wonderful package!) is also closed.  We are still taking reservations for NYE in Prague.

We are pleased to announce that all of our tours for 2010 are now full posted to our web site (with the exception of Nova Scotia).  Highlights for 2010 include fantastic packages to Oberammergau to celebrate the world-famous Passion Play, which only occurs every ten years, the Holy Land and Jordan, Greece and the Greek Islands, Sicily, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, our famous Romantic Italy tour, and one-city trips to Krakow Poland, Edinburgh Scotland and St. Petersburg Russia.

GREAT NEWS:  For our trip to NYC in 2010, we will be staying at the Grand Hyatt in Midtown.  This is a serious upgrade from the Milford Plaza and is offered at a phenomenal rate.  This tour is SOLD OUT.

ArawjoTours is now a proud member of the Better Business Bureau.  This status is a reflection of our commitment to quality service and our determination to inspire confidence in us as one of the most reliable and budget-friendly tour operators in the Lehigh Valley.  We offer a kind of personalized service that cannot be found with our competitors;  indeed, when you contact us, you are likely to deal directly with the owner (Kevin Arawjo) or his very professional wife, Catherine.  We promise to respond to your inquiries within 24 hours, most often in a period of 12 or less.  Our friendly, travel community welcomes your participation in one of our many tours both inside and outside of the United States.  Come see what sets us apart!

The US Dollar is at an all time high relative to foreign currencies, such as the Euro, the British Pound and the Canadian Dollar.  In fact, the greenback has increased by 30% or more against these currencies, making NOW the time to travel abroad!  Your buying power will take you far.  We have tours to satisfy all budgets, from short three or four night getaways, to week-long one-city tours, to full-scale leisure tours throughout the world.  We offer some of the best deals and service in the travel industry.

ArawjoTours at the movies?  ArawjoTours is now advertising on the19th Street Theatre (Civic Theatre) movie screen in Allentown.  Ads appear during the half hour before the beginning of a movie and are repeated at least seven times prior to the show.  The 19th Street Theatre is a cultural icon in the Lehigh Valley, offering the best of Indy films and live theatre performances.  It is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on donations from individuals and businesses for its continued survival.  We at ArawjoTours believe that the work of the 19th Street Theatre is consistent with our philosophy of promoting international awareness through cross-cultural experiences.  Foreign films are one way to bring thoughtful and diverse human experiences to viewers throughout the Lehigh Valley area.  If for whatever reason you are unable to travel the world, the world can be brought to you.  We'd love your feedback on this initiative.  Contact us at arawjotours@aol.com with your thoughts.

GLOBAL NOMADS BUDDY PROGRAM:  The popular Nomads Buddy Program is now going to be offered indefinitely.  So what is the program and how does it work?  The GNBP is a non-retroactive promotional program designed to bring new nomads into our travel family while rewarding existing nomads for their recruitment efforts.  An existing nomad will be awarded $50.00 off his/her tour price if he/she brings a friend on an ArawjoTours trip. The maximum reduction per person will be $100.00, which will cover no more than two refferals per trip.  The GNBP can be repeated for subsequent trips.  In order to receive the reward, the new nomads must actually have gone on the same tour as the the person who made the referral.  They must also be entirely new to ArawjoTours, meaning that they have never gone on a trip before with the Global Nomads.  Awards will not be offered for sign-ups that lead to tour cancelations.  Good luck!  If you have any questions about the plan, please drop me a line. (Important note: This program no longer applies for tours that are less than $1000.00 per person.)
