National Parks of the American Southwest with Brandon Smith:  Sedona, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Bryce and Zion 2025

In May, 2012, ArawjoTours operated its first tour to the National Parks of the American West.  The journey took us to some of the most impressive landmarks of this great country we call the United States, including the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands and much more.  Impressed by what we saw, and imbued with a strong sense of national pride, we all agreed that ArawjoTours should continue to offer tour packages that focus an America's natural beauty.  In keeping with this positive sentiment, we proudly began to offer in 2014 a National Parks of the American Southwest tour with visits to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Bryce, Zion, and Vegas.  If you missed out on our previous tours to this beautiful region, don't pass up this fine opportunity to have some fun discovering the richness our own great nation.  Space is limited to one bus, so sign up early!

DAY 1 - Phoenix, Arizona

Upon arrival in Phoenix, we will be met by our tour manager, Brandon Smith, at the airport and will begin our journey by driving through downtown Phoenix for panoramic sightseeing

We will arrive Scottsdale and check in to our hotel

Rest of the evening at leisure to enjoy in Old Town Scottsdale

DAY 2 - Sedona and the Grand Canyon

This morning we depart north, we will visit Montezuma Castle, which was the site of 12th and 13th century Native American cliff dwellings. We will continue to the artist colony of Sedona, a beautiful town surrounded by red rock formations and upon arrival we will visit some of the most interesting sites and formations in the town

Overnight Sedona.

DAY 3 - Grand Canyon National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the entire day exploring the amazing beauty of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Brandon will set the time to meet. One of our stops will be at Yavapai point in order to appreciate the incredible views of the Canyon and the Colorado River below. Today's visit also includes tickets to the Grand Canyon IMAX Theater.

DAY 4 - Grand Canyon and Monument Valley

Today at 10:00 a.m. we will drive along the scenic East Rim to visit the Desert View Lookout. We will then visit the Navajo and Hopi Trading Post, where you can purchase an exquisite variety of high-quality Native American dolls, jewelry and handicrafts. After a lunch stop and some free time to see the Navajo exhibit at the most unique Burger King in the country, we will continue to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, where we will go on a guided jeep tour of the restricted area of Monument Valley. Many classic western films were shot here starring such Hollywood legends as Maureen O'Hara, John Wayne, Henry Fonda and James Stewart. We will end the day watching the sunset from Goulding's restaurant where we will enjoy an included group dinner. After dinner, we will stay overnight at the Hampton Inn Kayenta Hotel.

DAY 5 - Lake Powell

After breakfast at the hotel, meet in the lobby at 9:00 a.m. We will continue our journey to Page, AZ, and will drive over the Glen Canyon Dam to Lake Powell. We will stop at Glen Canyon Dam's visitor center for a great view and exhibit on the dam's history. After some free time in Page, we will arrive at the Lake Powell Resort, where we will spend the night.

DAY 6 - Lake Powell and Cruise

After breakfast in the Rainbow Room of the Lake Powell Resort and some free time in the resort, we will take a boat cruise (10:30 a.m.) on Lake Powell. After our cruise, we will continue to Bryce Canyon. Overnight at the Best Western Ruby’s Inn. Dinner is included tonight.

DAY 7 - Bryce Canyon National Park

After another wonderful breakfast we will continue at 9:00 a.m. on our adventure to Bryce Canyon National Park. Highlights of our visit to the park include stops at Bryce Point and Sunrise Point, overlooking the incredible Bryce Amphitheatre. Following our visit to Bryce we will continue to Springdale UT, the gateway to Zion Natl Park for overnight.

DAY 8 - Zion National Park

After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will start our day with a narrated tram ride inside the park to point out some of the park’s highlights.  Early settlers gave names to some of the park's natural features, such as East Temple, the Court of the Patriarchs and the Great White Throne, all of which we will see. After our sightseeing and some free time, we will then spend another night at our hotel in Springdale.

DAY 9 - St. George and Las Vegas

After a full breakfast at the hotel, meet in the lobby at 9:00 a.m. We will continue on our journey with a stop in St. George, Utah, for some free time and sightseeing and then arrive in Sin City in the afternoon. Enjoy some gambling or take in a show in Las Vegas, where we will spend our last night.

DAYS 10-11- Las Vegas

After breakfast, go to airport for return flight to Newark.
